Unite

This pattern was originally named Union. Given today's climate, I felt changing it to Unite felt more appropriate. I was drawn to this pattern by the flag, the flowers and the opportunity to create an interesting background in the center section. The wools were overdyed by Janice Johnson who creates beautiful colors for primitive antique

Land of Nod

This was hooked in a class taught by Liz Marino via Zoom in January of 2024. This pattern was one of the designs hooked for the Fairy Tale Rug Show which traveled around the US in 2023 and 2024.

Mr. Rooster King

I began this rug in October of 2021 with Diane Stoffel color planning the rug. This was something brand new to me with the beautiful bright colors. Diane even taught us how to make French knots in rug hooking. I love this rug and it hangs on my side of the bed. Thank you, Diane.

Ewelalie

This rug was begun in a class with Gene Shepherd at the 2022 ATHA Convention in Overland Park, Kansas. Gene supplied all the wool needed for this rug and I used wool roving for Ewelalie's curls.

Primitive Animals

Pattern origin unknown. Used buttons and bead s and added a proddy border

Primitive Rescue

I found this piece mostly hooked with a bag of wool worms. The rug as it was rolled up was extremely thick (twice as thick as desired). I found that the rug had loops almost as high as the front loops. The hooker had also run out of the yellow wool (no wonder!). I decided

Happy Cat

I actually did not do all the hooking on this piece. I rescued it. The person I received this rug from, her mother used to do some hooking, but had passed away. The piece did not have the border finished, and needed some "holiday" fill-ins. I finished the piece, and returned it to the daughter
