Information displayed for your chapter is provided by a chapter officer or appointed representative.
More than half of the chapters have provided enhanced detailed information that can be shown to the general public. Our hope is that by sharing information about YOUR chapter, you will inspire new and experienced rug hookers. New rug hookers who are looking to connect with other rug hookers, and experienced rug hookers who might be interested in what other chapters are doing with regards to chapter events, outreach, technical skills building, or demonstrations.
The information displayed for a chapter is extremely flexible, however the key pieces of information that are needed are:
- A Photo or image that will be the headline “featured” image displayed for your chapter.
- Website link if your chapter has one.
- Meeting details or other information about the chapter
- Chapter History
- Photos that can be used for your chapter specific photo gallery. Each photo should have a caption that goes with it, such as “pattern name” hooked by “hooker name”. Types of photos that can be submitted include groups, people, events such as hook-ins, demonstrations, and hooked mats.
When submitting information for your chapter web page, put yourself in the shoes of someone who does not know anything about your chapter, and maybe not very much about rug hooking, and think about what they might like to know.
Please do not provide personal email addresses or contact information. It will NOT be included. This is for your personal security. Instead, we recommend that your chapter has a chapter specific email address for correspondence.
Chapter officer contact information is available for members who are logged in.
The chapter officers are updated when we receive the chapter annual reports or the chapter update forms.
If your chapter has posted an event to be listed on the Events page, that event will also be shown on your chapter page.
If you would like to update the information displayed for your chapter, send the details in an email to admin@atharugs.com. All, any, or some of the chapter information may be changed simply by sending us an email.
