The Events page is intended to communicate where/when events are occurring that might be of interest to rug hookers and in support of an ATHA chapter. Events may be submitted by ATHA chapter officers.
To appear on the EVENTS page of the website, the event must be an ATHA chapter-sponsored event (Demonstrations, Hook-ins, Rug Camps) and be for the benefit of the chapter to be posted. This includes that the event must have applied for the ATHA Certificate of Insurance (COI) coverage.
Events that are supported by an ATHA chapter but do not meet the requirements above (such as guild meetings) may be listed on the chapter’s page on the website.
We do not yet have a form created for submitting event data, so meanwhile, members should please send an email to admin@atharugs.com with the following information:
- Event Name
- Event Location (Address)
- Event Date(s) and Times
- Event Description
- Event How to Register information – Cost information is helpful, and any provided names or phone numbers WILL be shown to the public.
- Event Flyer – if one is available.
- Event Website – if one is available
- A photo or image to be posted with the event if one is available
- Sponsoring Chapter name.
Once we have received your event information, it will be posted on the website as soon as possible, usually within the week.
Additionally, Events will be posted with an ATHA badge for the following reasons:
- Hook-ins organized by an ATHA chapter
- Workshops organized or sponsored by an ATHA chapter
- Rug shows organized or sponsored by an ATHA Chapter
- ATHA Convention
