There are actually two ways to set a new password.
Direct Method: Used if you are already logged in but want to change your password.
Indirect Method: Used when you don’t remember your password and want the system to send you an email.
The two methods are described in detail below.
One thing to remember though… what happens if the system doesn’t seem to have your email address or user name at all? This can happen if you sent your membership information into ATHA using the postal service, and did NOT provide your email address, or if it is incorrect.. If this has happened, we were not able to create your website account, or, we might have it under an incorrectly spelled email address. If so, please send an email to membership@atharugs.com so we can get your account corrected.
Direct Method – for Logged In Users
First, select the avatar photo or your name in the upper right hand corner of the ATHA website.

Your profile page will be shown.

Notice the section for Resetting Your Password:

In the fields that are provided, type your new password into both fields.
Once you are done, select the red RESET PASSWORD button. The Reset Password will NOT work unless the two fields have identical passwords. This is intentional, designed to make sure you are setting your password to a value you really want.
If you have successfully done this, you should see the message “You have successfully updated your password” above the two password fields as shown in the image below.

So, what to do if you didn’t write the new password down? If you are still logged in, you can change it again. However, if you do not remember what the password is, and you are now logged out, you can use the indirect method below:
Indirect Method – for logged out users
When you click on the Sign In option from the upper right, instead of even attempting to remember your password, instead click on the “Lost Password” text below the login screen.
The following screen should appear:

At this point, enter either your email address or your user name, and click on the red GET NEW PASSWORD button. An email will be sent to you with a link that you can click on to set a new password. The email should get to you within a few minutes, and if you do not find it in your inbox, check your spam (or junk) folder. A way to ensure you get these emails without them dropping into your spam folder is to add admin@atharugs.com to your contact list.
