Chapter History:

Our group was formed many decades ago and meetings were held in member’s home. As the group grew the meetings were moved to local church fellowship halls.  Our group has been very fortunate to meet at our current location for over the last ten years or more. The group has a variety of skill level hookers from beginners to McGown Certified teachers. Our Misson is to cultivate an environment which promotes camaraderie, creativity, education and encourage anyone interested in pursuing this traditional art form. Each year we host a three-day workshop for our members with McGown Certified teachers from all over the US to help achieve our Misson. The majority of our members live in and around the Sebastian, Vero Beach, Melbourne and Port Saint Lucie areas. Some of these members are snow birds that hibernate to these warm areas from the cold winters up north. We welcome anyone to join us, whether you are already a rug hooker or would like to learn more about this traditional craft. We have beginner kits for sale for those wishing to learn rug hooking. Our very talented members are eager to teach the art of rug hooking.
