Meeting information:
The Goose Creek Ruggers meet the 2nd Saturday of each month at Catoctin Presbyterian Church, 15565 High St., Waterford, Va, from 10 am to 1 pm. Following a short business meeting from 10:30-11:00 AM, a member shares rug hooking tips or a short presentation on an outside interest. We also feature show-and-tells during which members who are present share current projects, or we have a throw-down of seasonal rugs made by members. The rest of the meeting is time for hooking, socializing, and sharing information. The Goose Creek Ruggers also hosts teacher-led workshops, and events to gather and hook. The Goose Creek Ruggers Chapter is committed to fostering a friendly and welcoming environment for creativity and art through rug hooking. We encourage new and existing members to learn about fiber arts and share ideas.The Goose Creek Ruggers holds an annual Hook-in, which usually takes place in January.
Chapter History:
The Goose Creek Ruggers chapter of ATHA was established in 1999 by Jane Halliwell Green. The chapter is comprised of members primarily from Virginia, Maryland, and from several other states.
